One of the first things I wanted to do after leaving the hospital was a piece to thank the many nurses and doctors that helped me on the way to recovery.

This piece represents all the thoughts/processes/imagery that were going on at the time.

So much ‘Joy’ for making it through but so much PAIN after the surgery.

IN HOSPITAL
The surgeon placed two small metal coils in my head to stop the bleeding but once the blood stops the remaining blood that has already leaked into your brain has nowhere to go, so it just needs to slowly absorb into your body – the relentless never-ending pain for the next week was something I never want to experience again.

In the first week the nurses are constantly taking blood and if needed, giving you various drips to make sure your body chemistry is stable.

For the entire two weeks in hospital, they need to take your blood pressure, ask you a series of questions, take your temperature, give you a handful of pills plus more, every 4 hours day and night.
