Focus on the process

I absolutely love carving the boards! There’s something very methodical and precise that really appeals.

One of the very first boards in the ‘Alice in Wonderland’ series I carved, I made a MASSIVE mistake; it was probably the best blunder I could make because I’ll never do it again. I had been carving for about 3 hours and I realised that the image WASN’T in reverse!!! I would have gotten away with it if it was of a scene, but my images contain words, so all the plates need to be in reverse. BEST mistake I could make 🙂
